William Bonemer Júnior, known professionally as William Bonner (born 16 November 1963), is a Brazilian newscaster, publicist and journalist. He is the current editor-in-chief and anchorman of ''Jornal Nacional'', the most-watched Brazilian news program, aired by TV Globo. Biography Bonner graduated in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Advertising and Publicity from the School of Arts and Communication, University of São Paulo (ECA-USP) and began his professional career in advertising in 1983. In 1985, he started working at Radio USPFM and was eventually hired as announcer and television host on TV Bandeirantes until June 1986. Nigel Bonner
William Nigel Bonner (15 February 1928 – 27 August 1994) was a British zoologist, Antarctic marine mammal specialist, author and ecologist. The topics of his books and scientific publications included marine animals, reindeer and the ecology of the Antarctic. He headed the Life Sciences Division of the British Antarctic Survey from 1974 to 1986, and served as deputy director from 1986 to 1988. Bonner received the Polar Medal in 1987, in recognition of his work in Antarctica. Bonner was recognized for his research on the Antarctic fur seal of South Georgia, publishing in 1968 a highly respected monograph, which was the "first modern study of the species". At the time of his death in 1994, it was still referred to and quoted. He also conducted the first research on the introduced reindeer that lived on South Georgia. William Ray Bonner
William Ray Bonner (born March 28, 1948) is a former service station attendant who went on a shooting spree through the South Side area of Los Angeles, California on April 22, 1973, killing six people and wounding nine others. The rampage ended with his arrest after he had been injured in a shootout with police. Bonner was sentenced to life imprisonment later the same year and is currently an inmate at California State Prison in Vacaville. Shooting spree The shooting began at Bonner's home at approximately 2:35 p.m. after he had gotten into an argument with Otha Leavitt, a friend of his mother, who had paid them a short visit to make a phone call. Bill Bonner is an American author of books and articles on economic and financial subjects. He is the founder of Agora Financial, as well as a co-founder of Bonner & Partners publishing. Bonner has written articles for the news and opinion blog LewRockwell.com, ''MoneyWeek'' magazine, and his daily financial column ''Bill Bonner's Diary''. Biography Bonner was born in 1948. Bill Bonner is a former provincial level politician. He was a member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta from 1997 to 2004. Political career Bonner was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta in the 1997 Alberta general election. He won the electoral district of Edmonton-Glengarry by over 1,000 votes over Don Clarke of the Progressive Conservatives and four other candidates. William Bonner McCarty, Sr. of Jackson, Mississippi was a founder of the now defunct Jitney Jungle (also known as the Jitney-Jungle Stores of America).
